House Cleaning in Hacienda Heights, CA

Hacienda Heights is hill country by our standards. Streets climb, lots terrace, driveways pitch, and back yards frequently end at a slope rather than a fence. Homes tend to be larger than in the flatland cities nearby, many with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two stories and considerable square footage. It is a beautiful place to live and it asks more of a cleaning crew than a flat tract does.

The first difference is dust, and it comes from the canyons. Dry brush, decomposed granite, and the wind that moves down slope in the afternoon put a fine light-colored dust into the air that is different from the road grit you get near a freeway. It settles everywhere, but it shows most on dark surfaces, glass, and horizontal ledges. Homes here often have high entry ceilings, upper window ledges and second story landings that collect it out of reach and out of mind. Reaching those is part of our deep clean, not an upsell.

The second difference is the amount of glass. Hillside homes are built for views, which means large windows, sliders, and sometimes clerestory panels. Pressure washing does well here for a specific reason. Sloped driveways and terraced hardscape channel water and grit along the same lines every rain, which leaves streaking and staining that looks worse than the actual dirt level. Recurring house cleaning at $100 to $250 and up is the right call for most homes this size, with biweekly the common choice. Laundry at $20 to $30 per bag and trash can cleaning at $20 to $30 per can are both easy add-ons when we are already there.
